"The automation of a business process, as a whole or only in part, during which documents, information or activities are passed from one party to another for further processing according to a predetermined set of rules"
You do not have to know exactly what the next step is. The workflow rules activate mandatory fields so that you fill in all the entries.
The "done" is different depending on the 'workflow' rules. Mandatory fields are checked in the workflow and, if necessary, various follow-up activities are offered for selection.
The brand's mill workflow engine works on the server. Whenever you have a process done, it becomes active and executes the rules for automating the processes. The activities are done in the background and you can do something else. Because then follows in e.g. the printout of a document, an e-mail is sent, further processes are started or the process ends up with new tasks as ToDo in the team.
For example, a bill of fare will be handed over to the ToDo of the accounting department for a service ticket with all the works listed. Completely filled in and ready for shipment.
Or a contract draft from you ends up with more details in the legal department.
